Thanks in no small part to the legal team’s contribution, Södertälje is currently investing around $299m in a new high-tech facility for the manufacturing of biological medicines. By locating the new manufacturing plant, AstraZeneca will combine its expertise in biologics with the well-established culture of operational excellence that exists within the Sweden operations unit.
