Kristin Hedlund is the general counsel for the North region of world leading global logistics provider DB Schenker, entailing responsibility for the legal department for the company’s businesses in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the UK and Ireland). Hedlund’s main task is responsibility for the risk management department, security department and dangerous goods department. DB Schenker is the world’s leading global logistics provider with land transport, worldwide air and ocean freight, contract logistics and supply chain management. The company is involved in some of the world’s most cutting edge technologies, and she is therefore required to continually adapt her knowledge and develop new systems and strategies. For example, in June 2018 DB Schenker announced a new product line of 3D printing services, where a customer can send a template and it will be printed and delivered. This is new territory for the logistics industry, and Hedlund’s experience at the company and her expertise in these issues should ensure that the company’s efforts to roll out these new products are completed smoothly and successfully.
