Established in 1974, PCG is the leading integrated chemicals producer in Malaysia and ranked among the largest companies in the world; it has a proven track record in integrated oil and gas operations spanning the entire hydrocarbon value chain. Led by the vastly experienced head of legal and corporate secretariat Noor Lily Zuriati Abdullah, who has served the company in a legal position since 1991, the legal team at PCG is widely regarded as one of the country’s most gifted. The team is structured so that general counsels head different PCG businesses whilst reporting back to Zuriati Abdullah. Notable figures who hold these internal general counsel positions include Ahmad Yusmadi (Gas and LNG Business) and Razman Hashim (Upstream International). In 2017, the legal team at PCG were commended for their role in the company’s sale of a 50% stake in its polymers unit to Aramco for US$900m.
