Clementina Canel has been director of legal and compliance at Fepra since 2021. She has 17 years of experience in the legal field, in specific areas like environment, business law, commercial, energy, criminal, insolvency, utilities. Clementina graduated from the Police Academy, Faculty of Law, and the University of Marketing and International Economic Affairs. She also holds a master’s degree in business law. Clementina also completed several management trainings, such as leadership and change management, strategic management, assertiveness and influence. 

After spending several years as a criminal police investigator, Clementina decided to become a lawyer. She started her career working for a reputational law firm; in the last 12 years, she moved in-house, in heavy industries like environmental, energy, forestry. 

In his current position within an organisation for implementation of obligations regarding extended producer’s liability, Clementina is responsible for ensuring that the environmental objectives imposed by the European Union to producers are legally compliant and all the technological process of collection and recycling are completed by the commercial partners.   

Clementina who happens to be a traveller and sports enthusiast, spends her free time — travelling around the world, reading and climbing the Romanian mountains.
