Could you tell us a bit about your significant successes in your role?

I managed to ensure transcendent legal processes for the company such as the implementation of the Labor Reform in the field of outsourcing by migrating employees from one company name to another, without affecting their working conditions. The implementation of NOM-035- STPS 2018 focused mainly on preventing and eradicating psychosocial risk factors in employees.

I am working on the Trade Union Strategy for the legitimisation of collective bargaining agreements, ensuring transparency, democracy and good management between the union and the company.

In your opinion, what are the qualities and skills needed to form a strong legal team?

These are important to forming a strong legal team; trust and respect to achieve a healthy work environment, good communication as it speeds up and facilitates decision making.

Participation and collaboration of all team members is also key to the team, as well as clarity in the roles to be played by each team member.

There should also be defined, agreed and measured objectives, in order to focus time, work and obtain results successfully.

What is the biggest risk to your industry or organisation and how are you contributing to prepare your organisation for this?

One of the biggest risks for the company is the closure of one of its establishments and an imposition of fines.

The way in which I contribute to prevent or mitigate such action is by carrying out internal and external analysis that identifies areas of non-compliance or a serious opportunity to work on them, in order to safeguard the interests of the company before any requirement from authorities is announced.
