Andrew Thomas is a highly regarded senior In-house lawyer with extensive experience spanning over 30 years in the real estate, development, construction and funds management industries in Australia and Asia.

Andrew commenced his legal career at Minter Ellison in Sydney, before relocating to Hong Kong where he worked for the English firm, Simmons & Simmons. After a number of years with Simmons & Simmons, he was appointed as the head of the firm’s commercial property practice in Hong Kong.

Upon returning to Australia, Andrew re-joined Minter Ellison, then made the switch to in-house practice, joining Brookfield Multiplex in its developments business.

In 2014, Andrew joined Lendlease where he has worked on many landmark urban regeneration projects, including the development of Barangaroo in Sydney. At Lendlease he has held a number of roles including head of legal for the development business. In 2020, Andrew took on the role of head of legal for investment management, where he manages an in-house team supporting the various Funds (including the Australian Prime Property Fund series) and Mandate clients of the Lendlease Investment Management platform.
