Noted by peers, legal directories and the industry press for his projects work in Africa, Conrad Marais specialises in corporate and project finance in emerging markets. Focusing on corporate commercial transactions, Marais has advised on issues including M&A, joint ventures, development agreements and strategic alliances and project finance across infrastructure, resources and agriculture sectors. Joining Trinity in 2006, Marais has led transactions on the corporate and development aspects of projects, including the US$500m Amandi gas IPP in Ghana, a US$100m fundraising for an African infrastructure developer and the acquisition (by a significant ASX-listed mining company) of a gold mine in Niger.
