Career Biography 

Luis Graça Moura is General Counsel and Executive Director at Banco BPI, part of the CaixaBank Group, a role he has held since early 2022. He leads the bank’s Legal Department, drawing on nearly three decades of experience within the institution. Having joined Banco BPI in the mid-1990s, he began in investment banking before moving into legal, where he has held a number of senior leadership positions. His career includes serving as an Executive Board Member of the group’s investment bank and representing Banco BPI in various strategic capacities. Over the course of his tenure, he has developed extensive expertise across the banking and financial sector, playing a central role in numerous high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions. He is also the author of several published articles. 

He began his professional journey as a lawyer and university lecturer, teaching Commercial Law and Tax Law. He holds a law degree, a postgraduate qualification in law and an MBA in Finance. A native Portuguese speaker, he is also fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.
