Founded 100 years ago in Ulsteinvik, Ulstein Group has become a major player in the Norwegian maritime industry and an iconic Norwegian brand. The legal department at Ulstein Group is led by Ingvill Mari Saunes, group general counsel, who has been in the role since 2011. She leads a highly skilled team of lawyers who are experts in maritime law, shipping regulations, commercial and construction legal matters as well as all other legal needs of the group. With the help of the legal team, Ulstein Group is constantly evolving and launching new projects and products. As part of its “Eco-Five” project, Ulstein has launched a new series of fish trawlers, called the X-Bow, with innovative shipping solutions designed to enable sustainable finished methods and processes. It has done this in partnership with Nordic wildfish as part of a larger push towards sustainable fishing products.
