They operate through more than 175 boutique stores located in 21 different countries around the world. A cross-functional legal team that maintains legal and human resources for the company is led by Joumana Younes. Over the years the legal team has elevated their function to ‘provide its legal support to the company’s projects and transactions with an operations perspective’. Taking a more front room approach the team have designed and implemented a reorganisation plan of the companies in order to create a more structured international portfolio by the addition of new companies. This has led to the team taking on a more strategic perspective to their role over the years. Having gained the trust of the business through building bridges of communication with management in all departments, the team ensures that all aspects of projects are considered legally before development. Operating in a company that has seen continuous growth and expansion, the legal team has been successful in managing the increased workload while not disappointing on response time or open approachability.
