The in-house legal team at PGIM Real Estate is responsible for the legal operation in Mexico of a US$3.1bn real estate advisory business, including a Fibra (Mexican real estate investment trust), two CKDs and five private equity funds. Amanda Gonzalez, vice president of law, Mexico, leads and manages the in-house legal team and cross-functional local and international teams on Mexican issues. The team works on structuring, negotiating and closing real estate transactions of the managed funds, particularly fund formation, joint ventures, asset acquisitions and dispositions, credit facilities, IPOs and follow-ons. It is also responsible for leading the legal strategy for litigations, appointing and supervising outside counsel, and the legal management of entities and trusts as well as corporate secretary duties.
