The in-house legal team at Grupo Kuo is well regarded for its commercial acumen and adept handling of legal aspects of a diverse range of business interests. Grupo Kuo is a major conglomerate with a presence in 70 countries employing over 20,000 people headquartered in Mexico. The company has business lines in automotive parts including transmissions, chemical products such as synthetic rubber and polystyrene, and consumer foods. Specifically it has a large pork domestic and export business in live, frozen and prepared pork products. Led by Ramón F. Estrada Rivero, director of legal affairs and institutional relations, the legal team is nominated for its handling of a recent expansion in the pork business line, “Porculture,” assisting on all legal elements of the first phase of its continued expansion of this product line. Additionally, the team is recognised for its handling of the company’s financial legal arrangements including the 2017 amortisation of debt instruments called “6.25% Senior Notes 2022”.
