Elitsa Stoeva is a Luxembourg-based legal and compliance professional with more than fifteen years of international experience across legal, regulatory and governance matters. In her current role, she provides strategic legal and compliance leadership to one of Europe’s leading real estate investment platforms, working across multiple jurisdictions and supporting the business, investment teams and investors on complex legal and regulatory matters. Her legal and compliance involvement in investment funds is holistic and spans the full fund lifecycle, from establishment and structuring, through ongoing management and transactions, to liquidation. She works closely with investment and portfolio teams, translating complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, commercially focused solutions, influencing business decisions and helping the organisation navigate complex cross-border investment activities.

Elitsa also plays an important role in investor relations, supporting fundraising and ongoing investor relationships through investor due diligence, questionnaires, legal and compliance queries and ongoing investor requests. Her work connects the organisation’s legal and regulatory framework directly with its commercial and investor objectives.

A key achievement has been the creation and implementation of the organisation’s compliance training programme, developed independently to strengthen awareness, accountability and a strong culture of compliance. She has also built the organisation’s privacy framework from scratch, establishing policies, procedures, training and governance structures to support effective privacy management.

Elitsa has played a leading role in creating the organisation’s ESG framework, policies and processes, and advises on their implementation, helping integrate ESG considerations into governance and investment activities. Through this work, she contributes to shaping the organisation’s approach to responsible and sustainable investment.

Through these initiatives, among others, Elitsa has strengthened and shaped the organisation’s compliance, privacy, ESG and governance frameworks, while enabling the business to navigate complex legal and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Her ability to influence business decisions, bridge legal and commercial priorities and develop practical solutions makes her a strategic adviser to the organisation.
