Career Biography

Christel Di Marco is head of legal and compliance at H2O Luxembourg Partners, bringing over 20 years of experience in the Luxembourg financial services industry.

She specialises in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, debt, family office structures and investment management, advising senior management, boards and investors on legal structuring, regulatory and governance matters. Christel established and leads the firm’s legal and compliance functions, overseeing legal strategy, corporate governance, AML/CFT matters and regulatory oversight. She also acts as responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations (RC) for regulated Luxembourg investment managers, ensuring robust compliance frameworks and effective engagement with regulatory authorities.

Prior to joining H2O Luxembourg Partners, Christel held senior legal positions within private equity and real estate investment companies, law firms and family office where she advised on complex cross-border transactions and (re)structruring of regulated and unregulated investment structures.

Throughout her career, Christel has served as a board member of numerous Luxembourg entities, providing governance oversight and strategic direction. Her key strengths include translating evolving legal and regulatory developments into practical business solutions, strengthening governance frameworks and helping organisations anticipate and adapt to regulatory change. She is committed to fostering strong compliance cultures and enabling sustainable business growth through pragmatic, commercially focused legal leadership.
