What are the projects that you are most proud of working on over the past 12 months?
Providing the Company with business-oriented, objective and legally secured solutions considering the current worldwide permacrisis state.
Can you describe an instance where your legal advice directly influenced business strategy or commercial objectives?
Contractual risks mitigation considering several different challenging situations (Iran War, US tariffs).
What key trends should in-house counsel be monitoring over the next six to twelve months?
Political and economic permacrisis requires a particular vigilance on the latest updates, but also an increased exposure to same technical areas as international maritime law, insurance and customs law. At the same time, usual concepts of contractual law, like force majeure, retrieve all their specific interests to ensure delivering the most accurate advice and recommendations to internal clients.
As geopolitical instability continues, alongside economic and technological change, how do you guide your organisation through periods of uncertainty?
Detailed understanding of the business needs to provide tailor-made and reactive guidance, as at the end of the day this is the KPI which would allow a company to successfully overcome any crisis.
How do you navigate situations where legal advice and commercial objectives conflict?
One of the key roles of an in-house counsel is to ensure such situations are avoided by providing business-oriented and pragmatic legal solutions in line with the risk appetite defined by the company.
