Nils is an experienced general counsel with a profound track record of working in the finance industry and 25+ years of relevant experience; strong professional skills in the management and structuring of funds and transactions, outsourcing controlling, corporate governance, and risk management; former board member of ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry). Before joining FREO he has been a managing director and head of legal and compliance of GAM and has held legal positions in Belgium and Luxembourg in the real estate and alternative investment fund sector, including for Goodman as legal manager, continental Europe. Nils has started his career as a lawyer in Germany and holds a law degree from the University of Hamburg, a bar exam from the regional high court of Rhineland-Palatinate and is a Chartered Property Finance and Investment Surveyor (MRICS).
