Focused on various areas within the general contractor and international construction market, Rizzani de Eccher brings together a number of operating units within civil engineering and building construction. Made up of 17 members, the legal team is headquartered in Udine where there are six lawyers who work closely with general counsel Simone Bagnariol and another group of lawyers based in Venice mainly dedicated to an Italian subsidiary called Sacaim. The team also extends to three lawyers in Russia, headed by general counsel Andrey Savin who is also in charge of the Belarusian business where there are two lawyers based in Minsk. ‘All the members of the team feel part of a family and are all committed to a common result. What I usually prefer to say about my team is that we are, first all, friends and then colleagues and with this spirit we carry out our tasks’, says Bagnariol. The legal team is currently involved in a large ICSID arbitration and are in the midst of finalising other two construction contracts for an aggregate value of €700m.
