About

A leading publishing company in Italy, Edizioni Condé Nast is owned by publishing powerhouse Condé Nast International and publishes 12 renowned fashion and trend-defining magazines such as Vanity Fair, Vogue Italy, Glamour and GQ, to name a few. The in-house legal team collaborates and operates in all ordinary and extraordinary projects in which the company is involved – from the initial phase of research until final realisation and implementation, including the contractual negotiations phase with the business teams. The legal team has supported and continues to support Condé Nast in the process of expanding and diversifying its business areas, that diversify from traditional publishing industry, allowing the entry into new sectors such as digital, advertising agency, talents management and influencers academy, video production and big event organisation such as Wired Next Fest, Vogue Fashion’s Night Out and Vanity Fair Stories. This is part of the restructuring process and completed the transformation of the business from a traditional publisher to a media company. ‘The main goal of the team is to be considered partners to the business and not as mere legal professionals, having same corporate goals and providing solutions that help company in achieving these goals’, says head of legal Daniela Paletti. In spite of the big workload, the team has built a culture that is focused on constant enthusiasm, strong team spirit, a desire to grow and great commitment – something which involves consistently listening to the needs and demands of the business. ‘This culture and goal has been developed during the years thanks to a close and intense day-by-day relationship and dialogue with the business and the editorial teams, explaining and demonstrating to them in facts the importance of legal support in achieving company objectives, in all phases of relevant pursuit and implementation’, says Paletti.
