Artsana Group is an Italian company founded in 1946 as a business specialised in venepuncture and medication, and later began distributing healthcare and infant care products. The Artsana legal team is made up of four lawyers who have collaborated to create a new software to handle all legal matters in the company. The company has been involved in a joint venture with Italian toy manufacturer Giochi Preziosi who has agreed to sell 50% of its stake in prenatal retail group. In 2015 Artsana created the joint venture with Giochi Preziosi, merging the retail businesses of the two companies containing 551 shops all over Europe under the brands Toy Centre, King Jouet, Prenatal and Bimbostore. The team has been at the forefront of this deal and other antitrust and M&A matters of the business. General counsel of the group Massimiliano Caforio describes the team as being full of ‘committed people and team work’, he adds: ‘To achieve our goals as a legal department we need to act as a team and as very committed people’.
