‘Robert Johnson leads Facebook’s privacy compliance team, one of the two arms of Facebook’s data protection legal team, in Europe. Johnson advises the business on all aspects of data protection compliance, including incident response, records of processing activities, data-transfer and data-sharing agreements, and data subject access requests. Johnson was a key player in Facebook’s GDPR compliance project and he continues to advise the business on operationalising and implementing GDPR requirements on an on-going basis. He works closely with his privacy colleagues and stakeholders in Facebook’s US and Asia Pacific offices to ensure a joined-up approach to data protection compliance across the Facebook business. In addition to this work, [Johnson] frequently engages with external stakeholders, including European supervisory authorities. Johnson is a deeply knowledgeable and skilled lawyer.
