‘Given Square’s business model, and in light of recent changes to its regulatory and legal landscape, this has been a particularly active time for the company. Jennifer Coyne has been at the forefront in ensuring that Square is proactively prepared for these developments and that various internal stakeholders are continually briefed and upskilled in respect of the same. Coyne brings a wealth of experience from both former in-house and external counsel positions to her role as international counsel. As this is a relatively new, evolving and dynamic sector, it provides her with an opportunity to demonstrate her commercially-focused approach and produce notable results. Coyne is a very effective communicator, has a sharp legal mind and continuously displays collaboration and business management skills. She also consistently demonstrates those skills in the manner in which she manages her multi-jurisdictional projects and initiatives and her relationship with external counsel. In our view, Coyne is highly regarded within Square and plays a critical role which is central to its continued success’.
