The suggestions underscored the stakes of possible change which called for GE to establish a factory in Bihar and build 1,000 diesel locomotives for Indian railway. The team were behind negotiating and establishing the $2.5bn contract which marked a major victory for GE Transportation, and over the next few months is expected to move the contract forward, helping the company stay abreast of the recent downturn in the market.
