Based in Barcelona, MANGO is an international designer, manufacturer and marketer of clothing employing over 15,000 people. The company has grown exponentially in recent years, and head of the legal department Francisco Javier Fontan Cosialls has played a crucial role in business strategy.

He oversaw the legal team’s work on one of the biggest logistical transactions in Europe in 2016: the acquisition of MANGO’s new logistics building located in Lliçà d’Amunt and additional development land for an investment exceeding €150m. He has also been instrumental in increasing MANGO’s worldwide selling surface by over 25% with the opening of close to 200 new stores in line with the new megastore concept in multiple jurisdictions, handling local laws and regulations effortlessly.

Most recently, he assisted the company expand its presence with the opening of new stores in Madrid, Puerto Rico and the Middle East as well as the launch of MANGO’s flagship store in Lisbon in December 2017.
