Part of Portugal’s national postal service CTT, Banco CTT evolved out the parent company’s financial services business. The bank’s recently appointed head of legal Catarina Gonçalves Oliveira has already impressed nominators, with one keen to point out that she ‘is an extremely competent lawyer’ and that ‘she coordinates matters in multiple areas of law and shows a great ease and competence’. Given the fact she had only moved in-house in 2016, Oliveira is commended for impressing peers in a very short space of time which suggests the bank is in safe hands from a legal standpoint going forward. Before joining Banco CTT, Oliveira had a successful private practice career in both PMLJ and Uría Menéndez.
