The legal department of Forbes 2000-listed Li & Fung is responsible for all of the legal matters related to the global operations of its supply chains. This includes – but is not limited to – contracts, data protection, outsourcing, employment, maritime law, aviation, and supply and transport contracts as well as all related regulation. With the company’s global reach, the complexity of issues dealt with by the legal team is extensive and the department is skilled in its ability to handle a number of tasks at once. Recently, the company has been implementing its “Three Year Plan” for 2017-2019 focusing on speed, innovation and the digitisation of the supply chain. Marcus Tsang has been group general counsel at Li & Fung since 2011, leading the legal function specialising in a number of legal practice areas related to global supply chain management. These include consumer goods, trading, logistics, sustainable supply chains, apparel and fashion, sourcing, cosmetics, design, furniture, packaging, warehousing, beauty, design solutions,  and product development. Li & Fung generated US$18bn turnover last year thanks in no small part to the dedication of the company’s respected legal team.
