Can you talk about you or your company’s efforts relating to renewability, sustainability or other environmentally- friendly activities?

We are using the same tenacity which we use to solve problems for our customers and applying it to how we help address some of the world’s biggest challenges.

Why are in-house lawyers well-placed to drive change in their organisations?

Organisations are prioritizing hiring smarter, more qualified in-house lawyers whom they expect to attend strategic meetings and advise on a myriad of topics including driving change. As lawyers we are well placed to do this because (i) change management requires not just a vision but a kind of planning, implementing and monitoring that lawyers are used to when we tackle compliance with current regulations or changes we anticipate; and (ii) in our course of work, we deep dive into many issues across the region, which exposes us to the nuances which we need to tackle when driving change. Finally, much of the change in the space of sustainability and environmental compliance is grounded in jurisprudence we see developing in this space as well as regulation we can expect in the horizon.
