Petr Zaytsev is the general counsel and corporate secretary of RCB Bank, having joined originally in October 2005. He has successfully built an in-house team of eight lawyers with diverse experience. He provides strong leadership and guidance to the legal team, having broad legal subject matter expertise, and helps shape strategic decisions and manage major developments in the company. The department under his supervision is structured to have international and local units headed by Ekaterina Akkush and Despina Panayiotou accordingly. The department has been efficiently responding to the increasing needs of the growing domestic business and recent changes of the regulatory framework, offering valuable expert advice to departments across the Bank. The team also provides a complete range of legal support to the Bank’s activities, including due diligence of investment projects and organisation of contract relationships, as well as arbitration and litigation among other fields. ‘Summing up the teams ethos in one word, I would say – respect.
