Roman Zanin has served as the general counsel for award-winning online game developer and publisher Wargaming.net for the last five years. As an extension of its services of delivering authentic gaming experiences and services across PC, console and mobile platforms, Zanin has assisted in collaborating with industry giants to bring games to every major platform.

He has used his experience to contribute to the growth of eSports into an industry that attracts more and more developers, gamers and spectators every year. Before his current role, Zanin had a stint at The Riki Group, a vertically integrated media holding that has become Russia’s leader in the development, production, distribution, licencing and brand management of multi-platform animation brands. In this role he led the legal department, improving overall legal and management services to the group consolidation and strategic development of the group’s corporate structure, as well as securing Riki’s interest in many M&A activities, including negotiation, drafting, compliance and execution of documents connected to the deals. Zanin was responsible for rebuilding the legal team, which included the set-up of all compliance procedures in the Riki Group.
