What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?
A modern in-house counsel must have what it takes to insulate the organisation against legal risks through effective review and drafting of contractual and other legal documents with the view to protect the organisation’s interest, including to reduce the likelihood (and where possible, wholly avoid) of future disputes.
Counsel should have what it takes to be a business enabler. He must be one that seeks to thoroughly appreciate the workings of the organisation and use the agency of laws and regulations to accelerate progress.
