Overseeing all legal aspects of operating the longest high-voltage electricity network in Germany, with over 11,000km of network stretching from Lower Saxony to the Alps, Amprion’s legal team is regarded as among the best in the country. It is currently in a period of expansion to support the company’s ambitious plans for the future, which include the construction of a further 2,000km of network infrastructure over the next decade. This expansion, which is to be achieved in a sustainable and reliable way, has required innovative and in some cases unprecedented legal actions to be undertaken by the team; and its success in this area is a major factor in the high esteem in which it is held by the German in-house community.
