Dr Thomas Söbbing is chief legal specialist at market-leading firm Deutsche Leasing. Over the course of his career, he has held managing and advisory positions within high profile companies such as KPMG, IBM and Siemens. At the latter, he was adviser to the largest contract in the company’s history, an achievement which saw him feature in The Legal 500’s Corporate Counsel 100. He is also a university lecturer at the German Graduate School of Management and Law, has lectured at Oxford and Cambridge, written six books and more than 200 scientific articles on legal and other matters of interest. Dr Söbbing studied law in Muenster, was an intern of leading IT law voice Professor Dr Thomas Hoeren and graduated with honours from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf with an LLM degree. Part of this program included a scholarship at the University of Washington, and Dr Söbbing has also graduated in programs at Harvard, Oxford, Shanghai and St. Gallen.
