General counsel for leading German automobile manufacturer Audi, Dr Martin Wagener has been with the company for the last 17 years, growing professionally with the business over the years. After the first years in the legal department, Dr Wagener moved to the business department, taking on the responsibility for the area of company management and personnel systems. Later the promoted lawyer took over a leading function in sales for four years, proving his competence in a multitude of areas and eventually assuming his current position in 2000. Legal roles aside, Dr Wagener has been representing Audi on the board of management and the supervisory board of FC Ingolstadt 04 since 2008.
