Q&A
How is your legal function leveraging technology to enhance efficiency in areas such as contract management and compliance monitoring?
Our legal function is leveraging technology and AI to enhance efficiency, consistency, and risk management across both contract management and compliance activities. We are increasingly utilizing enterprise-approved AI tools to support legal research, document review, contract analysis, drafting, and knowledge management. By combining our legal expertise with AI-enabled productivity tools and data-driven processes, we are improving turnaround times, enhancing compliance oversight, reducing administrative workload, and enabling lawyers to focus more time on higher-value strategic, commercial, and regulatory matters.
What strategies has your legal team adopted to mitigate legal and regulatory risks in a rapidly evolving business and political environment?
Our legal function has adopted a proactive and strategic approach to managing legal and regulatory risk in an increasingly dynamic business, regulatory, and political environment. A key pillar of our approach is continuous stakeholder engagement with regulators, government agencies, industry associations, customers, landlords, and other key stakeholders. By maintaining open and constructive dialogue, we seek to identify emerging regulatory developments early, address potential concerns before they escalate, and contribute meaningfully to policy discussions that may impact the telecommunications infrastructure sector. This engagement enables us to anticipate change rather than simply react to it.
We also place significant emphasis on regulatory monitoring and horizon scanning. The legal team continuously tracks legislative, regulatory, compliance, and policy developments that could affect our operations and proactively advises the business on associated risks and mitigation measures. Where appropriate, we prepare position papers, industry submissions, and advocacy materials to support informed decision-making and constructive engagement with policymakers and regulators.
