Q&A
How do you navigate the legal complexities of cross-border transactions within the East African Community (EAC) and beyond?
Multi-jurisdictional transactions in East Africa and beyond don’t come with a manual—they come with moving parts. This means at times, no two transactions ever speak the same legal language – sometimes quite literally my role as Regional General Counsel is to bring structure to that movement: aligning laws, managing risks, and ensuring that what works commercially also works legally across borders. I spend my days turning cross-border complexity into practical solutions. In this region, agility is just as important as expertise and agility just so happens to be part of AGL’s values.
