The legal team of McDonald’s China has been central to the impressive expansion it has achieved in the country over the past two years in the wake of a major restructuring of the company’s operations which saw a large proportion of the company’s directly-owned restaurants franchised out to investors. In 2018 alone 375 new restaurants were opened in mainland China, with 400 more being scheduled for opening in 2019 as part of 2,000 slated for opening over a five-year expansion plan.
