Founded in 1949 by a group of milk producers from the valleys of Chile’s Central Zone, Soprole is now a leading producer of dairy products in the country. The company’s legal function has grown in stature and size since the current manager of legal and corporate affairs Gustavo Rencoret took charge. Having joined the organisation almost 20 years ago in 1999, Rencoret is vastly experienced and a highly recommended figure in Chile’s in-house legal community. Supporting him in overseeing legal affairs at Soprole is deputy manager of legal affairs Felipe Rojas, who joined the company in 2014. The team is recognised for contributing to the increased domestic sales that Soprole recorded in 2017 by implementing the latest labour laws in Chile which required the removal of certain warning labels leading to increased sales.
