Domingo Valdés Prieto has been the general counsel for both the publicly held stock corporations Enel Américas, since 1999, and Enel Chile, since 2017, which have been traded in the NYSE, in the Latibex of Spain and in Chile, and serves as secretary of both their boards of directors. He was also a board member of the distribution company Empresa Distribuidora de Energía Sur, for five years, and chairman of the publicly held stock corporation Enel Transmisión Chile, for two years until its sale. He has been, since 2010, a tenured professor of antitrust law and economic regulation at Universidad de Chile and graduated summa cum laude from its law school. Domingo also holds a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago and an MPL from Yale University, and he is the author of many books and specialised articles on antitrust and economic law matters.
