T-Mobile’s business in the Czech Republic is supported by a team of 15 lawyers and five support staff headed by senior head of legal services Petr Josefi. The team’s most significant achievements from the last few years include supporting the company’s restructuring process, including working on the incorporation of legal teams from T-Systems Czech Republic and GTS Czech as a result of merger of these companies with T-Mobile Czech Republic, which resulted in a division of the legal department into four specialized teams headed by team managers with one superior senior manager covering whole legal department. As a result of a “federalised” cooperation between T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom, a strengthening of cooperation between the legal department of T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom has been adopted. ‘Each T-Mobile Czech Republic lawyer has its counterpart in the Slovak Telekom legal department to cooperate in federal projects so that they can find common legal solution for such projects,’ Josefi states. The team has also added immense value with innovations in the technology sphere, having introduced new document management system software, a digital approval process of contracts, a fully digital system of corporate governance and e-contract templates and e-signature process and having fully embraced the use of digital tools for communication with public authorities and video conferences and teleconferences for negotiations. The team’s most impressive project work in the last few years includes involvement on M&A deals, internal group transformation projects, the launch of new TV services, a fast network infrastructure building project, the provision of outsourcing services for big energy company and a new charging system for T-Mobile Czech Republic customers. Besides Petr Josefi, who was highlighted in the GC Powerlist: Central and Eastern Europe 2017, the team employs a number of exceptional lawyers, including Vojtěch Ozimý and Karolína Helebrantová.
