The company has expanded immensely in the recent past, launching a presence in Poland and Hungary and currently continuing its expansion to Eastern Europe, namely in the Russian and Romanian markets. The company’s highly innovative legal team led by Karel Budka has made significant contributions to the growth of the business, as well as most recently to Invia’s ongoing corporate restructuring process. On the transactional front, Invia’s legal team has supported the acquisition of former Unister assets operating in the DACH region, including big brands like Ab-in-den-Urlaub.de, fluge.de, and Tourini, creating the pan-European leader in online travelling, Invia Group. Another major transactional win for the team involved a refinancing project together with a syndicate of three international banking groups to the amount of €80m. Invia’s legal department also impressed sources with its work on implementing compliance related to GDPR and the package travel directive.
