Adina Bogatu, legal manager of litigation, tenders and IP departments with 13 years of service at A&D Pharma, leads a legal team consisting of 12 legal counsels, one paralegal, one regulatory manager and a compliance manager. A&D Pharma is the largest Romanian pharmacy group with 700 pharmacies across the country, and is also a major supplier of generic drugs across seven European countries. Over the last two years, the team has had to restructure internal workings and processes to meet the new challenges set by the rapidly changing Romanian pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory and commercial scene. The team also had to contend with changes in staff and restructuring within the organisation as A&D Pharma was acquired by Dr Max Group through the Penta Investment Fund. Within the team Stanca Radu and Bianca Radulescu have shown particular tenacity within the last year, and Bogatu says of her function: ‘The fast evolution in the legal team, the professionalism, proactivity and pro-business approach, the confidence in their work, the objectivism and the feeling of duty on their approach on fast changing projects that we had in the last year makes them the main candidates for being really models not only for the legal team but also for the organisation’.
