Since the beginning of 2017, Urszula Wiśniewska has worked as a chief legal officer, [managing] a team of 120 lawyers and specialists from one of the largest capital groups in Poland, belonging to the male-dominated energy industry. She is the group’s main lawyer and the closest advisor to the board. She also sits on several supervisory boards.

Wiśniewska area covers legal support, including coordination of cooperation with several dozen law firms, servicing corporate bodies and investor relations. From the moment of taking over the function, she has carried out a comprehensive reorganisation of the legal area in terms of cost optimisation and an improvement in the quality of legal services for the capital group, a significant part of this time also devoted to building a team work culture.

As the legal stream leader, she manages complex and multi-threaded M&A and investment projects with values ranging from several dozen million Euros to several billions. Wiśniewska also coordinates the conduct of precedential litigation, the total value of which is approximately €1bn.
