Tobiasz Szychowski has gained his experience at major law entities, in particular being a head of litigation and ADR department at one of the largest Polish law firms for over eight years. His unique expertise in litigation cases before civil, criminal and administrative courts, as well as in arbitration matters, has equipped him well for a role of vice general counsel. The know-how and skills he acquired through years of experience as a litigator are now put to use at one of the biggest companies that plays a key role on the Polish gas market – PGNiG and previously as general counsel at PSG (a Polish gas company owned by PGNiG). The company has branches and representative offices in Russia, Pakistan, Belarus and Ukraine and holds interests in some 30 subsidiaries, requiring its lawyers to be proficient in many areas of law and various jurisdictions. Szychowski’s knowledge and distinctive competencies resulted in him being responsible for numerous key international projects and the development of PGNIG’s business on domestic and foreign markets. Szychowski has been able to apply his commercial experience and utilize his extensive knowledge to his current role as vice general counsel, brought noticeable improvements to the performance of the legal function and made significant contributions to strategic decision-making, generating great benefit for both the legal team and for the company as a whole.
