What are the most significant cases, projects, or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?

In the past year, our team has supported a mix of preventive and risk‑mitigation matters across the business. On the preventive side, we have been involved in updating company‑wide compliance frameworks, conducting contract updates and risk reviews for key commercial agreements, and advising early in the lifecycle of several strategic initiatives to ensure regulatory alignment before execution. We have also partnered closely with cross‑functional teams on policy development and training efforts designed to reduce exposure and strengthen governance.

On the risk‑mitigation side, we have managed a range of matters involving dispute resolution, regulatory inquiries, and complex contract negotiations where we needed to balance legal exposure with business objectives. This included coordinating responses to time‑sensitive issues, overseeing outside counsel where appropriate, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

During periods of instability or crisis, I focus on balancing my role as both a strategic business partner and a legal guardian for the organisation. Adaptability is essential, so I start by quickly assessing the evolving facts, identifying the key risks, and determining where legal considerations intersect with operational and reputational impacts.

Beyond providing legal advice, I work closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure that decisions are both legally sound and practically workable. This often involves scenario planning, simplifying complex issues so the business can make timely decisions, and helping teams understand the trade‑offs associated with different paths forward.

At the same time, I maintain the guardian perspective by reinforcing compliance standards, documenting decisions, and ensuring the organisation remains aligned with regulatory and legal expectations. The goal is to support resilience: enabling the business to move quickly and confidently while safeguarding its long‑term interests
