Career Biography Andrea is an Attorney at Law and Public Notary, graduated with honors from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. With over ten years of experience in the Information Technology sector, her career has been defined by the development and leadership of near-shore legal teams supporting complex, multinational business operations.
In her current role, Andrea contributes to the management of a cross border legal team spanning the United States, Mexico, and Guatemala. She is a strong advocate for inclusive talent development and firmly believes that legal excellence should be identified and nurtured based on merit and capability, regardless of location or background.
Andrea specialises in commercial negotiations, where she aligns legal strategy and risk mitigation with business objectives to support the delivery of global services to clients throughout North America. Her approach is characterized by a strong commercial mindset, practical problem solving, and a deep understanding of how legal frameworks can enable, rather than hinder, business growth.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Andrea is a certified English–Spanish sworn translator, a university lecturer, and a Board Member of the Guatemala Chapter of Women in a Legal World (WLW), a nonprofit association that promotes female talent and equal access to growth and leadership opportunities within the legal sector, regardless of gender.
