Javier Madrigal is legal patents and compliance business partner at Bayer — a global enterprise with core competencies in the life sciences field of healthcare and agriculture. In his role, Javier is responsible for leading legal and compliance initiatives for product supply and radiology for the region including Central America, Caribbean, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. Alongside his business partner legal role, Javier is passionate about legal operations efficiencies, legal process design and legal process automation. 

During his time at Bayer, Javier led as legal patents and compliance business partner for the consumer health division for Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, led as cross functional member the execution of Bayer`s pharmaceutical production facilities of more than USD$200 m, and made a short-term assignment as business partner for the crop science division. Javier´s first role at Bayer was as team leader for the internal compliance LPO (Legal Process Outsource) known as legal, patents and compliance express for Latin America.  

Before joining Bayer, Javier acted as team leader, managing a legal team of seven for Infosys contract management LPO for Google, and developed the role of commercial legal counsel Central America and Caribbean for Uber and Uber Eats. Javier was also legal manager for Central America and the Caribbean at British American Tobacco and had an international assignment as commercial legal counsel in Korea.
