The in-house legal team at IGM Financial is celebrated for its client focused business acumen as well as its thorough legal experience. Led by senior vice president and general counsel Rhonda Goldberg, the team is responsible for managing the legal, corporate secretarial, regulatory and client affairs functions of IGM Financial. It also presides over these affairs for its subsidiary investment companies, namely, Mackenzie Investments, Investors Group and Investment Planning Counsel. IGM Financial is one of Canada’s largest investment funds with around C$153bn in its portfolio between its three investment groups as of October 2018. IGM Financial offers a number of mutual funds and investment services and its legal team has been busy in the last two years helping launch new products and initiatives. Such activity contributed to a total of C$4.8bn net sales in 2017 – a record year for the company. As part of its client focus, the legal team has contributed greatly to IGM Financial’s fee transparency policy, which was announced in November 2018.
