As chief counsel, Shaun Miller manages the in-house legal team for Aon Canada, the Canadian operation of the major global insurer that offers insurance, reinsurance and pension products. Miller serves as a member of the executive senior leadership teams and pension committee. According to a nominator, Miller and his team are well regarded in Toronto legal circles, for ‘proactively managing legal, compliance and business risk in Canada through tools such as risk assessments, interaction with senior management and training programmes’. The team also provides advice and guidance on areas such as corporate and commercial agreements, new products and services, litigation management, regulatory matters, compliance, acquisitions, divestitures, employment, privacy and corporate governance. The Aon Canada legal team has also been recognised for its social responsibility under the leadership of Miller, and has been nominated for numerous industry awards.
