Career Biography 

Jennifer Armstrong is a senior executive within TD’s legal epartment in Toronto, having joined the company in March 2026.

Over the past five years, Jennifer served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). Jennifer played a pivotal role in the successful merger of IIROC and the MFDA, the predecessor self-regulatory organizations, to establish CIRO.

Before her tenure at CIRO, Jennifer held the position of associate general counsel and managing director at BMO Capital Markets, where she advised the investment bank and trading floor.

Throughout her legal career in the financial services and investment sectors, Jennifer has demonstrated strong leadership, inspiring colleagues to pursue growth, embrace challenges, and enhance their professional skills continuously.

She holds a law degree from the University of Windsor and graduated with gold medal honours from Western University.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys live music and frequently attends concerts with her twin daughters.
