Career Biography

Corinne Pruzanski serves as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary and a member of the executive leadership team at Cadillac Fairview (CF), a leading owner, operator, and developer of best-in-class office, retail, multi-family, industrial, and mixed-use real estate in Canada with approximately $26 bn. in assets under management. Joining CF in 2024, Ms. Pruzanski leads the organisation’s national legal, insurance, compliance, and governance functions, serving as a key strategic advisor across all business operations. Executing a portfolio strategy focused on growth and asset diversification, Ms. Pruzanski has guided over $4 bn. in strategic acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and complex financings since stepping into the role. As corporate secretary, she also advises the Board of Directors on corporate governance, long-term strategic planning, and critical stakeholder relations.

Prior to joining Cadillac Fairview, Ms. Pruzanski was chief legal officer at Great Gulf, directing legal strategy across Canadian and U.S. commercial and residential real estate portfolios. Before that, she served as general counsel and corporate secretary at CAPREIT, where she led the legal, governance, risk, and compliance functions through a transformative growth period that saw the organisation expand to a $10 bn. market capitalisation, earn a listing on the TSX/60 Index and expand into Europe. Playing a central role in implementing CAPREIT’s global growth, Ms. Pruzanski spearheaded the legal execution of its domestic expansion as well as major international initiatives. This included pioneering cross-border investments in Ireland, culminating in the launch of an Irish REIT listed on the Euronext stock exchange, and in the Netherlands, culminating in the creation of a Dutch-based, TSX-listed REIT, for which she also served as general counsel and corporate secretary.

Ms. Pruzanski began her legal career practicing with premier law firms in New York for seven years before returning to Toronto as a Partner in the Real Estate Group at Stikeman Elliott LLP. Recognised as a leading legal executive in Canada, her achievements were highlighted in 2026 when she was named a finalist for the Canadian General Counsel Litigation Management Award and an Excellence Awardee for Law Department Leader of the Year at the Canadian Law Awards.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Ms. Pruzanski is a dedicated advocate for gender equity and executive leadership in the legal profession. She serves on the Board of Directors of Women General Counsel Canada and sits on the Board and Audit Committee of the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto. She holds the ICD.D and GCB.D designations.
