Career Biography

Alysha Valenti is executive vice president and chief legal officer, risk and sustainability of Oxford Properties, with the privilege of leading Oxford’s global legal, risk management, and sustainable investing teams, with overall responsibility for Oxford’s governance and public engagement.

As vice-chair of Oxford’s global executive committee and as a member of its global management team, Alysha provides strategic leadership and organisational oversight. As vice-chair of Oxford’s investment committee, she provides counsel on globally significant, market-leading and complex real estate investment transactions.

Prior to her current role, Alysha was deputy general counsel of Oxford and previously acted as chief of staff to the CEO of OMERS, where she worked on strategic business matters across the enterprise, participated on OMERS sustainable investing committee and represented OMERS as a member of the G7 Investors Leadership Network.

Alysha serves as a director and chair of the investment committee of the board of Waterfront Toronto and is a past committee chair and director of Toronto CREW. She is an advocate for inclusion and diversity and co-chairs OMERS and Oxford’s inclusion and diversity council, leading the organisation’s global wellness initiative. Alysha is passionate about modern governance and volunteers in her free time with Fora Network, supporting the development of young women in leadership. Before joining Oxford, Alysha was a partner at a Canadian law firm.
